This modest park is located at the corner of Stanton and Stockwell Streets. It features beautiful desert landscaping designed by Wynn Anderson, curator of the Chihuahuan Desert Botanical Gardens at the University of Texas at El Paso Centennial Museum.

An eyesore for many years, Alethea Park received a face lift in 2006 with the help of a city bond election, the Kern Place Association, and donations from local businesses and residents. The park includes a small parking lot and a large grass field surrounded by several big trees, making it ideal for impromptu soccer and baseball games.
